FAQs
How far in advance should I enquire for a Bespoke or Wedding Cake?
We are currently taking bookings up till June 2025. Minimum 4 weeks notice on a bespoke cake order, but 6-8 weeks notice is ideal, with the back and forth nature of ordering. If you're needing a cake for within 2 weeks, we suggest looking at the online cakes as these are simple and quick to order with a date selection (if date isn't available to click, we are fully booked)
For Weddings, 4-8 months notice is ideal so we can create your dream cake to perfection.
How far in advance should I order a cake, cupcakes or cookies from the online store?
The cut off time for online orders is 5 days notice. The date selection option on each product will show all available pick up/delivery times. Please note we are closed Sunday-Tuesday, time slots are between Thursday-Saturday for all products, except our 'Sweet Surprise' cakes which are available for pick up or delivery on Wednesdays & Fridays
Can I collect my order?
Of course you can! Collection is in Dingley Village, VIC. Select 'Store Pick Up' on the product page to select the date/time that works for you & 'Pick Up' in the check out.
Where do you deliver to?
Current delivery radius is up to 25kms from Cake Tins HQ in Dingley Village, VIC. If you're not sure if you're within the radius, please contact us or add your delivery address to the checkout and it will continue to 'local delivery' if within the kms.
I want to order some cookies but I can't collect, what do I do?
That's okay! We can ship them to you, please get in contact via our 'contact us' form and we will get back you to with the details.
I want to change my order, what do I do?
Unfortunately once an order has been placed, no changes can be made. Please ensure all details are correct (colours, text, pick up date, delivery address etc.) before processing payment.
I want to order more than 50 cookies, how can I do this?
Please get in touch with us via the 'contact us' page, we do not have a quantity limit but need more details for your request.
Do you cater to allergies?
Unfortunately, at this current time we do not cater to gluten, dairy or egg allergies. We use a home kitchen to produce all products so there can be traces of nuts, seeds etc. If you do have a nut allergy, please specify in the check out notes and we will make sure we are extra careful & ensure there are no cakes made that day that do contain nuts.
Will the colour be the same to what I selected on the website?
The colour selection on products is an indicator, from a screen to buttercream or fondant there will not be the same vibrant tone, please look at the photos for a more accurate representation of how the shades will turn out.
How should I store my cake?
After collection, or delivery the cake should be kept in the fridge until displayed at the event. The cake can be on display for 1-3 hours, and best eaten once at room temp (at least 30 mins out of the fridge)
